Act Attack Barcelona

George Rigopoulos founded Act Attack in Amsterdam in 2017 after his own experience of personal transformation through theater as a teenager. The organization expanded to Barcelona among other cities, building a community model that emphasizes diversity and accessibility. The Barcelona location operates alongside other established English-language improv companies including the Barcelona Improv Group. Act Attack operates across multiple formats including improv, acting technique, musical theater, and therapeutic theater, and has grown to a community of more than one hundred active participants across its network of European cities.

Act Attack approaches improv and theater primarily as vehicles for personal development, positioning the work as accessible to anyone regardless of prior experience. The curriculum spans acting, improvisation, physical theater, and musical performance, unified by the belief that theatrical practice builds confidence, creativity, and communication. The international community model means each city branch draws participants from many cultural backgrounds, shaping the ensemble work toward cross-cultural play.
