Itt es Most Tarsulat, meaning 'Here and Now Company', is a Budapest-based improvisational theatre troupe operating from its own community venue in the Ferencvaros district since 2019. The company combines public improv performances with a substantial applied improvisation and training programme, offering workshops in improv skills, speech technique, and team-building for both individuals and organizations. Its work is grounded primarily in Keith Johnstone's improvisational traditions while developing its own original formats.
History
The company secured the lease for its location at Raday utca 18 in Ferencvaros in 2018 and opened the Itt es Most Theater and Community Space in 2019. The venue expanded in 2023 with the addition of the Itt es Most Community Hub and Creative Center, extending capacity for both performances and training activities. The troupe's members serve concurrently as performers, trainers, teachers, and adult education specialists, reflecting the organization's dual identity as a performing ensemble and an educational institution. The company has developed a range of formats for both public audiences and corporate clients, including the Tandem improvisation programme and interactive shows designed for event contexts.
Artistic Identity
Itt es Most Tarsulat approaches improvisation as a discipline for developing conscious presence, openness, and acceptance in everyday life, not solely as a theatrical entertainment form. Its shows and formats are described as original developments that blend Anglo-Saxon improv traditions with approaches developed independently by the ensemble, with strong emphasis on combining multiple artistic disciplines.
