Points of Concentration
Viola Spolin's term for the specific focus or problem that an exercise is designed to develop. Every Spolin exercise has a point of concentration: the particular skill, awareness, or capacity that the exercise trains. By directing attention to a single focus (space, object, relationship), the player solves the problem of the exercise through direct experience rather than intellectual analysis.
